The youngest faculty of SPbSTU (FMP&B)

      It was founded in 1997 to achieve the new quality level in realization of the huge SPbSTU scientific & technical potential for public health purposes. This tendency was appeared at the different faculties of the Technical University in very natural way long ago. Our faculty has been called to coordinate the educational, scientific and technical activity for medical purposes. Our graduaters are going to work out the biophysical problems of the clinical medicine, the medical ecology and the biotechnology at the scientific and educational medical organizations.
      According to Platoon's "Medicine is all the wisdom" we combined our educational program of the natural scientific, medical and technical disciplines as well. Studying physics, mathematics, chemistry, technical and social disciplines is been realized at the Technical University, the other 40% of the program (medical and biological courses) are situated at the SPb Mechnikov State Medical Academy and the RAS Cytology Institute. Due to such integration many remarkable Saint-Petersburg scientists teach our students.
      All our students will do their master work at one of the University departments and medical organizations as well. And there they will work on graduation from the University. Thus, our faculty realizes the system of well known physical&mechanical faculty - students make not imitation, but real scientific work during their studying. The level of Master dissertations has to correspond to one of candidate's dissertation on biophysics. Every student receives the personal attention and it gives the good elites to our faculty's image.
